Maintaining Fire Dept. Truck

· August 2, 2017 ·

The Lower Peachtree Vol. Fire Dept. owns a 1981 Fire truck, we have had many problems with it in the past few years and haven’t had the money to purchase new hoses and properly maintain the truck. This grant has allowed us to Replace hoses and nozzles and buster lines on our truck and replace the pipes on the pumps. We also are able to install a one half inch hose real, that was much needed especially for forest and grass fires. With this grant we were able to take care of some much needed maintenance to the truck engine. We also paid a towing fee after, the truck broke down and left us stranded. We were also able to purchase a light bar, for the top of the truck as our lights no longer worked.
