The RiverBEST regional robotics competition was held Oct. 21 in the Thomasville High School and Thomasville Middle School gyms. The competition game field is in the THS gym, and marketing booths from the participating schools are placed in the TMS gym. Schools from Choctaw, Clarke and Monroe counties participated in the competition. The school teams are given a kit in which they build a robot to compete and score points on the game field. The teams must also prepare an engineering notebook and market their robot based on the theme of the contest that year.
